Conditions I Treat:
At Downregulation Station, you can expect inclusive and body-positive care that meets you (and your body) where you're at. We offer specialized manual therapy to support healing for people with core injuries belly and/or pelvic floor tightness and birth injuries. Some examples of conditions that can benefit can be found below...
Post-Partum Bodies

Creating life is hard work and it can take a toll, often leaving postpartum people feeling unfamiliar or disconnected from their bodies after birth. These individuals can benefit from work that supports re-integration and embodiment. Mobilizing stiff muscles and providing tactile feedback can help to better connect their brain to their pelvic floor. This, along with intentional cuing provides the support that many need to feel more comfortable in their bodies.
Pelvic Pain

There a many conditions that can cause pelvic pain such as vaginismus, endometriosis/ adenomyosis or interstitial cystitis. Utilizing various techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point release, gentle stretching/mobilizing, contract/relax techniques or visceral manipulation. The goal is to support improved blood flow, reducing pain and inflammation and improving overall quality of life.
Bodies with Scars

Any scars that feel tight, restrict range of motion or are unsightly (in the eyes of the scar owner). I have advanced training in scar mobilization techniques that help to break down the scar tissue and re-align the collagen fibers into an optimal arrangement which in turn, allows the surrounding tissue to move with more mobility and ease.
Abnormal/Un-ideal Bowel & Bladder Habbits

By mobilizing restricted and tight pelvic floor muscles or encouraging better GI motility though visceral manipulation we'll work to restore normalcy to bowel and bladder habbits.
