Pelvic Floor Bodywork

This therapeutic technique is slow and intentional with constant communication between provider and client. Utilizing one or two gloved digits, I will provide gentle mobilizations to the muscles of your pelvic floor. This work is intimate and so, a pre-session phone call is required to establish communication and comfort before any new client appointments are confirmed.Reasons why someone would seek out Pelvic Floor Massage:- Postpartum- Involuntary loss of urine- Pelvic pain (this could be cyclical pain, pain during penetration, or more continuous pelvic pain)- Wanting to establish a better connection with the body- Curiosity about this often overlooked area of the body

Viseral Manipulation

Our abdominal, thoracic, and pelvic canister's are filled with organs that are hanging off the bony framework of our skeleton via ligamentous connections. For a variety of reasons, these connections can become restricted and affect the way our organs work as well as the way we move and feel in our bodies. By reducing those restrictions, folks often experience a sense of calm/wellbeing; feeling lighter in the body; having more easeful movement; and having improved bowel and bladder function.

Side Note: Though not discussing visceral fascia, this video does a good job highlighting the above concept.

The Hodge Podge

If you are unsure of what you want/need, this is the option for you. Prior to your first therapeutic session, we'll discuss your body and your goals and then, utilizing a hodgepodge of modalities and techniques, we'll find the quietude that you seek. Potential modalities or techniques that could be utilized include: therapeutic massage, visceral manipulation, myofascial release, or cupping. Pelvic floor massage is also an option for clients who have received pelvic work from me previously for an additional cost.
